Common Knowledge was founded in 2019 by Madeleine Davis. We specialize in drama, comedy, and elevated science fiction.
We have a slate of projects in development and are currently seeking international co-production partners.

Madeleine Davis
Producer
Madeleine Davis is a Canadian-British Producer and Writer based between London, England and Vancouver, Canada. She has over a decade of experience in narrative and commercial filmmaking.
Recent narrative producing credits include the feature film WITH LOVE AND A MAJOR ORGAN (2023), which premiered at SXSW, and the short film DHULPA (2022), which screened at VIFF and Festival du Nouveau Cinema, where it won the Jury Prize.
Madeleine holds a Master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Cambridge and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia. She has a penchant for grounded, high-concept sci-fi but enjoys anything that moves the wheels of her brain. She is currently writing a fiction novel, CLOSE and a feature film, PROVINCIAL WAYS. She is also in development as an Executive Producer on Kunsang Kyirong’s debut feature 100 SUNSET.

October 2023 - Little Booms goes to camera with funding from the Canada Council for the Arts.

July 2023 - With Love and a Major Organ has its Canadian Premiere at Fantasia Film Festival.
June 2023 - With Love and a Major Organ has its Asian Premiere at the Bucheon International Film Festival.
March 2023 - With Love and a Major Organ has its World Premiere at South By Southwest.
October 2022 - 100 Sunset is selected for funding as part of Telefilm’s Talent to Watch program.
February 2022 - With Love and a Major Organ goes to camera with funding from Telefilm Canada, WIDC, the Harold Greenberg Fund, CBC, and the CFC.
October 2022 - Dhulpa wins Jury award at the Festival du Nouveau Cinema.
October 2022 - Dhulpa plays VIFF.
